The woman accused in a deadly hit and run crash appeared in court Wednesday afternoon. The victim in this case is a young father.

Investigators say Joseph Pacheco was walking along Howard Road in Gates earlier this month when he was hit by a car. Police say Mariah Eccleston of Greece was driving.

Today the case was moved from the town court to county court which is typical in a case like this. After a quick appearance before the judge, Eccleston walked out of court with her family and lawyer by her side. She pleaded not guilty last week to leaving the scene of a deadly crash. Police say the 20-year-old Greece woman hit and killed 20-year-old Pacheco while he was walking home.

Pacheco's family was in court and was visibly upset when they left. In the parking lot they told us they think is all unfair.

Now the case will go to the Grand Jury where they will decide if there will be anymore charges filed in this case.
