Hall of famer Jim Kelly was back in a New York City hospital Thursday morning for a biopsy. This comes a week after doctors told Kelly he had no evidence of cancer.

Last week, Jim Kelly said he not out of the woods just yet after receiving positive news in his battle with sinus cancer. This morning, Kelly underwent a biopsy to check areas that could not be seen with an MRI. Around 10 a.m., Jill Kelly tweeted that Jim’s biopsy was complete.

We spoke with a person close to the situation and he says no update is expected to be released tonight.

Three months ago Kelly completed seven weeks of radiation and three rounds of chemotherapy. If today’s biopsy went well, doctors could determine Kelly is cancer free.
