The Rochester Police Department is looking for the man they say forced his way into an apartment and shot the resident on the city's north side.

Police say that shooting happened just after 4:30 a.m. at the Seth Green Drive Apartments complex just off of St. Paul Street.

We're told a man wearing dark clothing forced his way into a 60-year-old man's apartment. A struggled ensued between the suspect and victim and the resident was shot.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Rural/Metro with non-life threatening injuries. Right now, police are trying to figure out why the 60-year-old was targeted by the suspect. It's not clear at this point if the victim knew the suspect. No one is in custody at this point in the investigation.
