Sheriff’s deputies say a Geneva man is facing DWI and other charges after a one-vehicle crash that took place early Sunday morning.

According to investigators, 25-year-old Daniel Torruella was driving west on State Route 54 in the Town of Benton around 5 a.m. when he went off the road, hit a culvert and flipped his vehicle near Stiles Road. Deputies say Torruella was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital by another driver, who then notified police of the accident. Investigators say Torruella suffered minor injuries.

We’re told Torruella will answer to his DWI and traffic violation charges at Benton Town Court at a later date.
