Woman thrown from boat during crash at Sodus Bay

A Marion woman was lucky to be wearing her life jacket when the Wayne County Sheriff's Office says she was thrown from a boat at Sodus Bay.

We're told 53-year-old Marie Houser of Marion was driving the boat in Sodus Bay and made a sharp turn. Deputies say she hit her face and shoulder on the boat before being thrown into the water. We're told she had a life jacket on when she was picked up by another boater picked her up.

Thankfully Houser only suffered minor injuries and was treated at Rochester General Hospital.
