The first day of school is underway in Webster.

Our cameras were at Spry Middle School this morning. We talked with a mother whose daughter is starting sixth grade about the new things she's experiencing. Karen Braden said, "My daughter has never had a locker before. So that's new to her. Also, having lots of teachers, changing classrooms, having to find your way around."

The Webster Central School District has a new leader this year. Carmen Gumina will serve as interim superintendent until a permanent one is found.

Gumina replaces Adele Bovard who left the district to become a deputy superintendent in Rochester City School District.
