Rochester Police: Man attacked, robbed on Prince Street

A man was attacked and robbed just outside Rochester’s popular East End neighborhood. It happened around 1 a.m. on Prince Street near East Main Street.

Police say the man was walking with a woman when a red car pulled up and two men got out. We're told they started running away when a suspect hit the man in back of the head with a gun. Police say the man's belongings were stolen, but nothing was taken from the woman. The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to be okay.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
