A Rochester teen has been arrested after police say he tried to break into someone’s home on Monday night.

Webster police say Collin Waltman, 19, is facing burglary and trespassing charges.

Police say they responded to Deer Haven Drive at about 1 a.m. for reports of an attempted burglary. They say Waltman rang the doorbell and then broke into a fenced in pool area. Investigators say Waltman was then seen trying to open the window to the home. They say the teen ran away when he realized he’d been discovered.

Police say they later identified, located and arrested Waltman.

Waltman was arraigned and is being held in Monroe County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond. Waltman will appear in Webster Town Court on September 5, 2014.
