Four people are hoping to return home soon after a fire damaged their apartment.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on the second floor of a building on Portage Street near Fernwood Avenue. Investigators believe an electrical problem started the fire in the ceiling. Everyone got out safely.

Some of the other apartments were evacuated as a precaution.
