An Albion man is still in the emergency department at Strong Memorial Hospital after a crash in Orleans County. It happened just before 5 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of West Lee Road and Eagle Harbor Road in the Town of Barre.

Deputies say 69-year-old Albert Witt went into the intersection without yielding the right of way. We're told he collided with a tractor trailer.

Deputies say Witt was trapped for about a half hour before crews could cut him out of the vehicle. He was airlifted to the hospital by Mercy Flight.

No word if anyone will be ticketed.
