At 45 years young, Doug Miller is ready for the next challenge.

After a 20-year professional soccer career, the living legend is hanging up his cleats, well, kind of.

On Wednesday, the Rochester Lancers announced Miller will move from the field to the bench to serve as head coach. Miller will also accept a front office position as well. He will become the Lancers President of Team Operations.

At the end of last season, the Lancers announced they were leaving the MISL and joining the Major Arena Soccer League. The league announced it will consist of 23 teams with each playing 10 home and away games.
