Streets to close for Rochester Pride Parade

City of Rochester officials say downtown traffic will be impacted by Saturday afternoon's Rochester Pride Parade.

The parade is expected to begin at the corner of Park Avenue and Alexander Street at 1:00 p.m.

In addition, sections of Alexander Street and Park Avenue will be closed as well. Alexander Street, from Monroe Avenue to East Avenue, will be closed at 11:30 a.m. In addition, the section of Park Avenue that runs from Culver Road to Alexander Street will be closed starting at 12:45 p.m. Both of these closures are expected to be lifted at around 3:00 p.m.

City officials also provided the below list of streets, which they say “will be restricted to local traffic with no through traffic at Park Avenue”:

•"South Goodman Street (from East Avenue to Monroe Avenue)"

•"Meigs Street (from East Avenue to Monroe Avenue)"

•"Berkeley Street (from East Avenue to Park Avenue)"

•"Vassar Street (from Milburn Street to Park Avenue)"

•"Edgerton Street (from Milburn Street to Park Avenue)."
