Deputies say the three-alarm fire at 4635 West Henrietta Rd. was under control as of 8:09 a.m., but that fire crews were still working to extinguish flare-ups as they arise.

West Henrietta Road remained closed in both directions between Lehigh Station Road and Calkins Road for several hours, but is now reopened to all traffic. Earlier in the day, Lehigh Station Road was also closed from West Henrietta Road to Bennington Hills Ct.

The building was being converted to a senior living facility. Although smoke alarms and sprinkler systems were in place, they were not working due to the construction.

There were no known injuries, and the fire is under investigation.
