Veterans head to Washington on Honor Flight

War veterans headed to Washington for the weekend as a part of an Honor Flight before returning on Sunday.

The veterans in this flight served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. During the two-day trip to D.C., they visited the nation's memorials, all for free.

Members of the community were at the airport to welcome the vets back, as if they were returning home from war. 

"This is a chance that Americans can show their appreciation for the people who are keeping them free to this day," says Nigel Heaton of the Patriot Guard Riders.
