Woman indicted for manslaughter in Gates deadly stabbing

A Gates woman charged with killing her transgendered partner inside the apartment they shared has been indicted. 

Doris Carrasquillo, 40, was arrested and charged with second degree murder. A grand jury indicted her for first degree manslaughter.

Police were called to Crerand Commons around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 4 for the stabbing. Officials say 28-year-old Kashmire Redd suffered a fatal stab wound. According to police, Redd was stabbed in the home, ran outside for help, and collapsed on the lawn. 

Police say the incident all started with an argument. Investigators didn't provide any details as to what the argument was about or what else transpired before the stabbing.
