3 charged after detectives pose as 14-year-olds

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — Three men were arrested by police in Canandaigua for allegedly attempting to lure a minor into sex over the past week.

All three fell for a sting set by detectives posing as a 14-year-old.

David Kepner, 61, of Bloomfield, was arrested and charged with second degree attempted criminal sex act on Friday.

He was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.

Jeremy Worthington, 34, of Conesus, and Josh Maslyn, 38, of Canandaigua, fell for the same trap on Tuesday.

Worthington was charged with attempting to lure a child and Maslyn was charged with second degree attempted criminal sex act. They were both given appearance tickets.
