Police: Body found in Genesee River between Seneca Park Zoo and Turning Point Park

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A body was found in the Genesee River Friday evening.
Rochester Police say it was found north of the Seneca Park Zoo and south of Turning Point Park and call came in at about 4:45 p.m.
The RPD, RFD, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Coast Guard responded and helped recover the body.
Police say they don’t know the identity of the deceased, but they do know the remains are a man’s.
He was taken by the Medical Examiner’s Office for further identification.
