Bills’ red zone struggles continue

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — Despite being tied for the second-best record in the AFC, red zone efficiency is still an area of concern for the Buffalo Bills.
When they’re inside the 20-yard line, the drive ends with a touchdown just 55% of the time, the seventh-worst mark in the league. In their last three games, that number is even lower with the latest struggles coming in Monday night’s loss to Tennessee. In that game, Buffalo converted on only two of their five chances.
Though they have the second ranked offense in the league, Sean McDermott knows this is something they’ll have to improve on.
"Quite a few of our wins have been lopsided wins," McDermott said. "They could’ve been even more lopsided, right. As well as we played during, offensively in the game. End of the first quarter, we’re up 6-0, should’ve been up 14-0 at that point. Maybe that’s a difference in the game, maybe it’s not. Who knows? Don’t want to play that game at this point but we got to do a better job in the red zone execution-wise. There are points to be had there for sure."
Buffalo heads into a bye week before returning to action on Halloween at home against the Miami Dolphins.
