ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — Buffalo Bills 2022 first round draft pick Kaiir Elam debuted at One Bills Drive as the Super Bowl favorites began rookie minicamp.

"So excited to be out there, because if I was in college I probably would have been done with spring (practice) already," said Elam.

Elam’s expected to have an impact right away, in a Bills secondary that lost Levi Wallace to the Pittsburgh Steelers and is optimistically cautious about the health of Tre’Davious White.

"The tape spoke for itself," said Bills head coach Sean McDermott.

The Bills kick things off in the NFL Kickoff Game on Thursday, September 8 at 8:20 p.m. at the Los Angeles Rams.

Elam will go against a former college teammate in Van Jefferson, who plays wide receiver for the Rams, winning a Super Bowl in February. Jefferson was a senior on Florida when Elam was a freshman.s
