C.G. Finney senior Zac Fox has many responsibilities, chief among them, trying to help the Falcons win soccer games. But playing sports is actually helpful for Zac.
"Playing soccer is a release for stress because it gets stressful with all of the other activities going on," he says.
Zac is very busy away from the field; some of his activities include: "I'm the editor of the yearbook, a peer mentor, I intern with the third grade class and balance all that school work."
Zac says he truly enjoys being the yearbook editor because he gets to help document all of the fun things that he has his classmates have done throughout the year.
"I've enjoyed it a lot. I wanted to be able to give back to the students and give them memorabilia for the year," he says.
And when it comes to balancing all of these activities, Zac has some advice that not too many high school kids would be quick to say.
"...Not spending time scrolling through Twitter, social media for hours at a time," he says. "I'll admit, it's pretty difficult but sometimes you just have to set your phone aside and focus on school."
He's Zac Fox, the News10NBC Scholar Athlete of the Week, presented by Monroe Community College and Five Star Bank.
