Pat Ercoli rejoins Rhinos as general manager
The Rochester Rhinos have hired Pat Ercoli to be the team's new general manager. Ercoli was head coach for the team from 1996 to 2004, winning three league titles and the 1999 U.S. Open Cup.
"I'm happy to be back involved with the Rhinos," said Ercoli. "The organization has a great tradition and I am looking forward to helping put an exciting product on the field this season."
Ercoli helped build the Rhinos into one of the best teams in the USL, but was ousted as coach in 2004, two years before the team made it's long-awaited move to PAETEC Park.
Earlier this fall, the Rhinos fired head coach Darren Tilley and GM Matt Ford. Ercoli and Rhinos owner Rob Clark continue the search for a new head coach.
