Section Five Playoff Friday Recap 11/6/09
Aquinas defeated McQuaid 31-17 to win the Class-A football title Friday night. Mike Messina scored on a 66 yard TD run and Chris Bostick caught a 66 yard TD to blow the game open in the second half.
Letchworth beat Attica 28-6 for the Class- C title. Chris Nevinger rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
VIctor game back from a 2-0 deficit, winning the final three sets to beat Mercy 3-2 for the girls Class-A volleyball championship.
Pittsford won its 8th straight girls swimming title in Class-A. Fairport finished second and Hilton was third. Hilton's Morgan Burns was named top swimmer of the meet.
