Syracuse to join ACC in 2013

The Big East Conference and Syracuse University announced Monday that they have reached an agreement on Syracuse’s departure from the Big East to the Atlantic Coast Conference(ACC).

Syracuse will leave the Big East and will join the ACC on July 1, 2013. In addition, Syracuse will pay the Big East $7.5 million. 

The University of Pittsburgh was also accepted into the ACC and will leave the Big East.
