When Bishop Kearney senior Paige Kuebler sets her mind to something, she usually gets it done. “It's a big honor, something I've been shooting for since my freshman year.”
Kueber is valedictorian and her twin brother, Kyle, is salutatorian -- good grades are an obvious priority in the Kuebler household. “I've always enjoyed the education part of life, Kyle has pushed me. Education has been huge.”
Her 96-average includes several AP courses. Paige plans to purse a career in the medical field. “I shadowed one of our local physicians and last summer I did a PT program so either PT or doctor.”
Paige prides herself on her organization and time management. She says that's why sports have been the key to her success. She is a two-year captain for cheerleading and has spent four years on varsity softball.
News10NBC caught up with her during a tumbling session as she prepares for the new basketball season. “Sports just adds character, it's important to have a lot of things softball and cheerleading is in that. Being captain is a hard job I like pushing the girls and being a role model to them.”
She is also vocal about her commitment to her sport. “It's a sport for those who don't consider it. You have to be on cue with the routines and be competitive.”
As for college, Paige says she's ready for the next challenge. “I'm excited and nervous more excited to begin a new chapter of life.”
