The Buffalo Sabres announced that the team has recalled defenseman Mark Pysyk and goaltender Andrey Makarov from the Rochester Amerks. The team also announced it has assigned forward Luke Adam to Rochester.

Pysyk joins the Sabres for his second recall of the year and third stint in Buffalo this season after beginning the 2013-14 season with the team. He has appeared in 42 games with the Sabres this season. Since being drafted by the Sabres in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, he has played in 61 career NHL games over two seasons.

Makarov joins the Sabres for his first career NHL recall after being signed by Buffalo as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Since being recalled by the Amerks from the ECHL on March 17, Makarov has appeared in six games for Rochester.

Prior to joining the Amerks, Makarov played in 31 games with the Fort Wayne Komets (ECHL) this year. Last season, he played in 61 games with the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was named the Outstanding Goaltender for the 2013 Memorial Cup.
