Law firm to help Bills

The team that is attempting to keep the Bills in western New York is expanding. The state has hired a law firm and will hire a consultant to entice would be buyers of the franchise to keep the team inside state lines.

According to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, the Cuomo administration has agreed to a contract with a Manhattan based law firm that will pay up to $350,000. The firm will represent the state’s interests and try to persuade potential owners to keep the team put.

A consultant is expected to be hired to outline new stadium sites and the financial benefits of keeping the Bills in this region.

Lt. Governor Bob Duffy, a member of the new stadium working group, says these steps will help reach the ultimate goal.

The Bills are expected to be sold by year's end.
