Could Frontier Field soon have some work done? We’ve learned Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks is asking the County Legislature to submit an application for state money for updates at the baseball stadium.

In her letter, Brooks says the money would be used for things like replacing the field, equipment upgrades and painting.

Brooks is asking for $4.5-million from state money with $3-million to come from Monroe County through its capital improvement program and Rochester Community Baseball. The project would cost $7.5-million.
