It’s a big honor for two local young athletes.

Sixteen-year-old Harrison Smith and 16-year-old Morgan Schild of Pittsford have been nominated to the 2014 U.S. Freestyle Olympic Ski Team.

The pair were recognized this morning by County Executive Maggie Brooks among other officials. We're told Smith will be doing the aerial competition and Schild will do moguls. They will also train with a select group for a chance to compete in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in South Korea.
