HS Hockey and Basketball: Friday 2/3/12

Fairport defeated Pittsford, 2-0 in high school hockey Friday night.  The game was played in front of a sell-out crowd at MCC and raised over $9,000 for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.  "The Pink the Rink Game" was highlighted by goals by Max Gerling and Andrew Brennan, and 20 saves from Fairport goalie Mark McEvily.

In boys basketball, Henninger beat Bishop Kearney, 50-42, while East moved to 14-1 with an 82-57 win over Edison.  Torrence Dyck led the Orientals with 23 points.

Penfield stayed unbeaten in girls basketball with a 62-27 win over Rush-Henrietta.  Lucy Covley scored 17 points for the Patriots (15-0).
