Great start by the Wings tonight. In the first inning Ryan Lamarre crushes the ball to the gap in right, that goes for a triple.

Zack Granite scores all the way from first.

The next batter is Jake Cave, he laces the ball to left, Lamarre scores. The Red Wings had four straight hits to open the game.

Plenty of support for Aaron Slegers who threw six strong innings.

Twins General Manager Thad Lavine is in town to check out the Wings and said he intends to keep Rochester as Minnesota's affiliate.

"We're all in on keeping the Red Wings, I had a chance to have lunch with those guys today and the thing I found remarkable is that they've had three affiliations in the course of their storied history, we don't aspire them to have a fourth," stated Lavine.
