UR basketball teams take part in Chuck Resler Tournament

Highlights:
Lizzy Atkinson scored a career high 19 points for UR, including five three-point goals. 

Lauren Deming (Waterloo) had 16 points and 9 rebounds

Al Leslie scored 16 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and blocked seven shots in 28 minutes. Leslie tied her own school record for blocked shots.

UR is 1-0, Capital is 0-1.

Thomas More was led by Madison Temple with 15 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals . TMC is 1-0. Aly Spayde scored 27 points in 35 minutes for Calvin (0-2).

On Saturday, Calvin will play Capital for third place at 1 pm.

Rochester will play Thomas More for the championship at 6 pm.

Highlights:
UR placed four players in double figures: Michael Mangan and Jacob Wittig scored 16 points each. Brendan O’Shea had 11 points, including three three-pointers. Ryan Clamage finished with 10 points.

Rochester took advantage of cold shooting by Bard (289% for the game, 14% in the firs half when UR opened a 34-16 lead at intermission.

Bard’s top scorer was Jelani Bell-Isaac with 11 points. Alijah Rue scored nine.

Utica rallied past TCNJ in the first game of the tournament. Joe Stortini scored 23 points and Tyler Jollie added 14 off the bench.

Randy Walko scored 22 to lead three TCNJ players in double figured. Eric Murdock, Jr. had 15 points and Elias Bermudez scored 10.

On Saturday, TCNJ will play Bard at 3 pm for third place.
Rochester will play Utica at 8 pm for the championship.
