Protesters march against police brutality

The group of protestors arrested last weekend on East Avenue in Rochester was marching again Thursday night.

This time, they weren’t protesting against capitalism, but rather police brutality.

Police arrested 18 people Saturday for refusing to move from the center of East Avenue. Protesters say officers used excessive force.

On Thursday, they were allowed to march on the sidewalks, and they did. One person was taken into custody for writing on the sidewalk, but Thursday’s demonstration was peaceful.

News 10NBC has a call in to the Rochester Police Department to see if anyone was charged. We will post any details when they are provided.
