If you've been following the controversial development project in Pittsford called 75 Monroe Avenue, there have been changes to that plan and a public hearing was held Tuesday to discuss them.
According to our news partners at the Messenger Post, the developer of the apartment complex wants to now put a restaurant and small number of residential units, along Monroe Avenue, facing the street. The complex will be designed to look like a 19th century mill and the new plan includes more landscaping.
There was a lot of opposition to the updated plan at Tuesday's meeting which was held at Pittsford Sutherland High School. But the developer can't understand why and says the new plan is a big improvement over the original.
Chris DiMarzo, Pittsford Canalside Properties, said, “If there's not a resolution soon, we're prepared just to proceed with the plan that's already approved, however the plan that's already approved isn't as good as the current plan.”
News10NBC is going to keep tracking this story and we'll bring you any updates on the final plan.
