Family members plead for return of missing Ontario County man

Their brother went missing three weeks ago and now the Ontario County family is trying to keep the word out – they need the public’s help finding 31-year-old Adam Chase.

Family members say he walked away from his home in the Town of Stanley and hasn't been seen since. The Ontario County Sheriff doesn't think Chase is in danger but there is a concern for his well being.

Right now, the trail is cold. The last activity on Adam Chase’s cell phone was two weeks ago. Neither his bank account nor credit cards have been used.

Thursday morning, Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies did an all out search in the area where chase was last seen but came up empty handed. They too, are reaching out for your help.

"I just want to know if he's okay. He doesn't need to talk to me -- at least call his parents." Rose Chase didn't want to appear on camera but she did want her husband to hear her plea. "Tristan asks where is daddy and all I can say is he's going for a walk."

Tristan is the couple's four-year-old son.

Adam Chase has been missing for three weeks now. He left the family home on Mott Street in Stanley after a disagreement with a family member. Five days later, some family members received text messages from Chase but nothing since and they are worried sick.

"We just want him to come home. We know the back story to it all and we don't blame him, we just want him to come home." Chase's sisters fear the worst. His younger sister Becky Chase says her brother would never have missed her graduation two weeks ago. She's hoping he makes it home for the party on Saturday. "He would have been there. He knew about it. He would have been there."

Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero says right now it looks like a case of an adult who wanted to disappear. “We have absolutely no evidence of foul play. We have no evidence of any threats against being made against Adam Chase.”

He says his quest to find this young man is both personal and professional. “I have known Adam Chase since he was a young man. I actually helped coach baseball on teams he was on in little league and have known him a long time and that's part of the concern we have as an organization. We know this man and this is not typical type behavior.”

Deputies also checked local hotels and motels. They are asking if you have any information on Chase’s whereabouts, to please call the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department at 585-394-4560.
