nullA gun shop ad on the side of a city bus is continuing to create controversy.

Hundreds have commented on News10NBC’s Facebook page about the ad on an RTS bus. A Rochester resident says a gun shop ad has no place on a city bus.  The ad is for Jackson Guns and Ammo. It has locations in Henrietta and Scottsville.

Elena O’Connor, who lives in the 19th Ward, says the ad should be removed because of all the violence in the city. She is starting a petition for this cause.

Kordell Jackson, owner of Jackson Guns and Ammo, appeared on Roc City Tonight, and says he’s not promoting violence in the city.

RGRTA says it cannot ban these ads because they are lawful and it receives federal funds.
