ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Like other races, the race for governor is down to the wire.

Both candidates were out pitching to voters on Monday. Gov. Kathy Hochul spoke in Buffalo. She recounted her years living there and highlighted her gun policies.

She also accused her opponent, Congressman Lee Zeldin, of being divisive.

“Instead of uniting people, my opponent Lee Zeldin is working so hard to keep people scared and I’m working so hard to keep people safe,” Hochul said.

Last week, Hochul called Zeldin’s platform on crime a conspiracy.
