People shop for latest car models at Rochester Auto Show, which runs through Sunday
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Auto Show is underway with over 150 vehicles on display at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. It runs through Sunday.
News10NBC’s Bret Vetter was live at the show as people checked out the latest models of sedans, trucks, SUVs, electric vehicles, and hybrids.
The show, which began Thursday, runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The first 10,000 guests will get a free pair of eclipse glasses.
For those interested in electric vehicles, the auto show has information about federal and New York State rebates and about installing chargers. In addition, Subaru will bring rescue dogs for adoption to the show, in partnership with the Wayne County Humane Society. At last year’s auto show, 14 pets were adopted.
Representatives from the Monroe Community College Auto Tech will be at the show to discuss careers in the auto industry. On Saturday and Sunday, the Monroe County Clerk’s Office will be there to process DMV transactions.
In addition, New York State Police will have a presentation on child seat safety, distracted driving, and other safe driving tips. The New York Army National Guard’s Humvee will be on display at the lower level.
