ROCHESTER, N.Y (WHEC) – A local artist is using Jazz Fest as inspiration.

Casey Arthur has been painting the sights of the festival on East Avenue for the past several days. She says that she loves meeting members of the community and that everyone feels like they are together when she’s painting.

"Every time someone stops to watch me paint, they are not fighting,” Arthur said. “They are not hurting each other. There’s no chaos. We’re just sitting quietly all together in unison, watching the same thing come to life."

Casey says she never knows what’s going to come out when her brush hits the canvas, and it’s always a nice surprise for her and everyone else watching her work.
