16-year-old girl shot on North Street was fifth teen shot in Rochester Tuesday night
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A 16-year-old girl was shot on Rochester’s northeast side Tuesday night.
Police say it happened just before 8 p.m. on the 1200 block of North Street.
The victim was found with a gunshot wound to her upper body at the scene.
Police say it appears the shooting happened outside.

The girl was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance with what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating, but say it appears there is no further danger to the public.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
This follows a shooting that injured four teenagers on the city’s west side.
