2 Rochester bar and restaurants announce they’re closing
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Two Rochester bar and restaurants are closing their doors.
Unter Biergarten on East Avenue and Tap and Mallet in the South Wedge both made the announcement this week.
Unter Biergarten posted Tuesday that the world has changed and it’s time for them to "refocus their efforts."
It’s reopening on Sunday, Dec. 12 for one final celebration.
Long-time Rochester favorite Tap and Mallet is also planning to close in December after 14 years.
Its closing message cited the pandemic and the changing beer industry for its closure.
Tap and Mallet’s last day open will be Dec. 31.
