ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester’s first and only e-sports gaming facility is about to open.

Great Lakes Gaming hosted a pop-up showcase in the Innovation Square lobby in Downtown Rochester Tuesday.

The business features PC stations, private streaming booths, couch console set-ups and a cafe—and it all comes with a view of Downtown Rochester from the 22nd floor.

CEO Ben Garvey says it will open in April.

"When you say that there’s 500 students living in this tower, it sounds awesome because I was thinking in my senior year of college I would have loved to live downtown doing this, if there was a gaming facility where I could hang out with friends, I was like that makes a lot of sense," Garvey said.

Great Lakes Gaming also organizes weekly video game tournaments streamed live on Twitch.
