A gold medal morning for Pittsford’s Chris Lillis
BEIJING (WHEC) — Pittsford native Chris Lillis competed in the Freestyle Skiing Mixed Team Aerials on Thursday.
The United States went against Belarus, Canada, the Russian Olympic Committee, Switzerland, and the People’s Republic of China in the first finals. They placed in second, advancing them to the medal round.
The Lillis family hosted a watch party and our Emily Putnam was in attendance.
It was in that medal round where Lillis shined.

The Pittsford skier notched the best score of anyone in the medal round with a 135.00. That helped vault the United States into first place, where they would hold on for the gold medal.
