BATAVIA, N.Y. (WHEC)— we know a lot of you feel like there’s something missing on Sunday with no Buffalo Bills game, but Batavia Downs Casino and Racetrack may have the perfect solution to fill that competitive void.
The casino will be holding its annual wiener dog races!
Up to 80 dogs will be competing for the crown of the fastest dachshund in western New York. Each winner (or should we say, wiener) will also receive free play and the top three finishers in the championship race will receive free play, food vouchers, and a free hotel stay.
The races start around 3 p.m., but you can get there a couple of hours early to take in family fun day. The event includes pumpkin decorating, carriage rides, and live entertainment.
