Bills General Manager shares updates after staff member tests positive for COVID-19

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Buffalo Bills staff member has tested positive for COVID-19.

General Manager Brandon Beane made the announcement at a press conference Tuesday afternoon.

Beane said players who had close contact with the staff member will be subject to a five-day re-entry process, but because of timing, some players will be able to return prior to Saturday’s third and final pre-season game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Associated Press is reporting that Receivers Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis were among those players.

He said Matt Milano and AJ Klein were sent home on Tuesday as a precaution, and they’ll return to practice on Wednesday.

Beane did not have an update on wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie after he took a hard hit during practice and left the field holding his left shoulder in obvious pain.
