BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC) – Some mixed news out of a Friday media briefing with Buffalo Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott.
The coach confirmed that Josh Allen will be starting at quarterback, despite his foot sprain suffered during Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay.
"He seems to be able to execute the job description that goes along with the quarterback position," McDermott said.
The bad news is LT Dion Dawkins has tested positive for COVID-19 and is on the reserve/COVID list. This is Dawkins second bout with COVID. He previously shared his four-day hospital stay and how he feared for his life. He has not been ruled out yet for Sunday.
The Bills had previously announced WR Emmanuel Sanders will be out with a knee injury.
The Bills are home Sunday against the Carolina Panthers at 1 p.m.
