PITTSFORD, N.Y. (WHEC) — A big bridge rehabilitation project in Pittsford is getting underway.

The New York State Department of Transportation says the bridge deck on State Route 96 over the Erie Canal will be replaced.

State Route 31 will be resurfaced between West Village Line and I-490 and State Route 96 will have pavement work done between Routes 252 and 31F.

Route 64 is getting resurfaced from South Village Line Road to State Route 252. They will all remain open to traffic except for the bridge.

It’s expected to close for 12 weeks starting in June.
