Bridge rehabilitation project to impact traffic on 390 starting next week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — I-390 North at Lexington Avenue will have several lanes closed while crews work to repave the roads.

This project begins at 6 a.m. next Wednesday, May 11 and is expected to wrap up no later than Sept. 8.

During that time, lanes going north will shift into the southbound lanes just before Lexington Avenue, and north and southbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes before arriving at Lexington Avenue.

This road work is the first of six bridge rehabilitations, which are expected to wrap up by the end of next year.

The New York State Department of Transportation said there will be more crossovers and lane reductions in the coming months
