Catholic Family Center holds fundraiser for Afghan families moving to Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Catholic Family Center hosted a donation drive on Wednesday to help Afghan refugees resettling in Rochester.

It was a night of necessity and a night of fun. The fundraiser at AMF Empire Lanes on Empire Boulevard in Webster collected home goods and monetary donations.

They collected items like paper towels, toilet paper, pillows, baby wipes, blankets, pots, and pans.

Everything donated will be used to get families settled in a new home.
