GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — It took several agencies to stop a suspect on the run through Gates and Rochester Friday afternoon.

Kyle A. Coon, 27, and Kimberly M. Cotton, 31, were arrested and face multiple charges.

Gates Police say it started when they spotted a parolee who is also a robbery suspect.

The chase took them through Gates and into Rochester.

Rochester Police say the vehicle maintained speeds in the city on average around 30 mph and was stopping at intersections.

Officers say during the chase, the vehicle left the city and Rochester Police did not continue to attempt apprehending the driver, but other jurisdictions continued with the vehicle.

The vehicle and suspects came back into the city where Rochester Police assisted.

The occupants were detained at Elmwood Avenue and East Drive where the Monroe County’s Sheriff’s Office took custody of the individuals wanted for robberies.

State Police also assisted during the pursuit.

No one was injured during the pursuit, and no car accidents occurred during the chase.

The investigation is ongoing.
