PERINTON, N.Y. (WHEC) — The relief effort for the victims of the Pines of Perinton fire continues to ramp up.

Organizers have set up a "store" for victims using donations from the community. People displaced by the massive fire can make an appointment to look for things they need.

“So many of them lost everything," said Ciaran Hanna, town supervisor for the Town of Perinton. "They had the clothes on their back and that was it. This will enable them to restock their closets and dressers. We’re working with organizations that will give them furnishings and restock their pantries."

More than 65 people were forced out by the massive fire at the Pines of Perinton apartment complex. The cause is still under investigation.
